Yes, you're right..its been a loooong time. But, I just got back from my first trip to India...and boy, what a trip it was! Having been there for more than 2 months, I can say life is a whole lot different - I know sooo many more people!!! Well, there are tons of stories and memories to pen down (that I'll gradually ramble about), but it sure feels good getting back to my old friends - green teddy, my tiger pillow, my swing, and above all ..my jumper! I've been sleeping a lot...something I think the adults call 'jetlag', but I do hope to meet all of you soon. I do miss this time chillin in the terrace though! More updates later..

BOOOOO!!! Continuing my firsts this year, I attended my first Halloween this past weekend - in the mecca of the festival - Castro in San Francisco! But before that we went to a local celebration. Getting in the spirit (quite literally!), I attended the Halloween festival where I saw the most weird looking costumes - kids attempting to intentionally make themselves unrecognizable in the most whacky clothes. But, it was great. We walked around the different booths - from the duck racing, ball t... Continue reading...

After playing with several bobble heads, bouncing my head back and forth is routine. I added one more element to it - babbling (loudly!). Parents now call me the babble head. Starting with my first (attempted) word - ange - I've graduated to more cryptic, undecipherable, and most importantly fun (for me atleast) loud babbles. First syllable has been 'da' that I chant almost religiously throughout the day. Mom keeps telling me she wants the first syllable to be 'ma', but I'll decide. Also, now... Continue reading...

Lights, Lights, Lights, Camera, Action....My first Diwali - was exposed to (lot of) lights, sweets and the festive spirit. The festival of lights got off to a great start with us going for the Diwali puja in the derasar in the morning - where I went crazy ringing the bells, I thought was festival of sounds too ;) Post Puja we met with neighbors and exchanged sweets and Diwali greetings an for some reason, people kept pulling my cheeks and putting their hands on my head stroking it (Mom told m... Of late, I've been really hungry - and just waiting to munch on anything/anyone in sight ;) Mom calls it teething, I just call it 'biting needs'. So, what started off as a mere feel of an object when brought near my mouth has now turned into a full fledged attempt at biting its head off! Watch out! First victims were my fingers that I kept chewing and nodding my head, now its the turn of soft toys, remotes, magazines, others fingers/hands..you name it. ... I'm still waiting for my teeth though.... Continue reading...

Phew..been a while since my last post..but I have good reason. I was on vacation in NYC, and a long one at that! We went on my first "real" long vacation - 10 days in the Big Apple! Just counting the 'firsts' on this trip for me begs for another longer post, but here are the highlights of the Firsts: - First long vacation!
- First airport visit (yay!)
- First Flight Experience
- First Hotel Stay (multiple hotels)
- First "LapSleep" in flight
- First Double bed in room exclusively for me!!
- First time visiting m...

With the ability to grasp things, I feel that everything should be holdable, chewable and lickable. Tightly clenching my fists on any object, I believe I am the assumed owner of that object. My latest conquest - the sippy cup. I've also started to reach out for things - lunging my body forward to grab my feet, arms extended for things I'm teased with, and giving a long stare when I'm not given things I want. Sitting in my car seat, I curl my body into an eel-form to touch my toes, but being c... Continue reading...

...tonight's gonna be a good night! ...tonight's gonna be a good, good night! wooo hooo.. Wondering what am I saying? It's actually one of the latest songs by the Black Eyed Peas that I've been rocking out to! This song gets me into instant dance mode - whether its played at home or in the car. Dad blasts the song, and I reallly like it! I start aerial cycling, then transform into a standing bobble head, and finally hit my stride with a fluttering of the arms and head at the same time. The so... Continue reading...

I've started to hold objects for much longer periods of time now - intently staring at the outline of the object and wondering about the color, movement and flexibility of the object. I keep hitting whatever is in my hand on the table expecting it to bounce back, but clearly doesn't. My new mode of communication has become an instant hit ;) Constant variations of gurgles, giggles, and angry shouts - all have made parents smile and respond back withe smiles. First thing in the morning, I lay i... Continue reading...

I'm suddenly fascinated with the discovery of five things that seem to rhythmically move - as if they are messaging to each other - when i move my hand wistfully in the air .... my fingers! I oftern stretch my hand, twirl all five fingers to choreograph a dance routine in the air, and land up gobbling them up (literally gnawing at my fingers once the dance is completed!) Of late, I've discovered its not just 5 - but 10 (tag team!) so I've started throwing my hands up in the air in joyous celebr... Continue reading...

I'm an early-adopter of tech and quite a techie (not coding, programming), but trying new web 2.0 services. I'm actively growing and have my staff updating this site and blog often - I have accepted the TOS for them representing me. I'm also on Facebook, GMail, Y! Mail, YouTube.
Not sure yet what I want to be once I grow up, but have time for that...just focusing on being healthy and playful in these growing years..
